I had been a big fan of Saosin on Pandora for several years but had never seen them in concert. The first hour was an absolute non-stop, no one else on earth can go this hard for this long, slam you in the face with rifts. By the time he introduced the band, I was exhausted.
I've never seen anything like this even though I've seen Clapton, Guy, Trucks, BB, and Beck live. It's almost like "Rain Man" learned to play the guitar. The speed, precision, and intensity for the length of time it lasted were hard to believe. Thank God the second hour was more "concert like" rather than the anaerobic workout feel of the first. Great stuff but 'Holy ...."
My wife said it best, "Incredible ability, but at times it seemed like music without a soul". Every great artist has their "niche" - and I would recommend seeing Saosin to anyone.
